Royse City ISD's Administration and Board of Trustees named David C. Carter, CPA, as Chief Financial Officer for Royse City Schools beginning Jan. 6, 2014, to replace retiring CFO, Jimmy Butler.

Carter is a familiar face around Royse City Administration, having worked for our district auditors Rutherford-Taylor for five years. Most recently, David has served as the chief financial officer at Greenville Independent School District. David's experience and expertise align perfectly with the workings of the CFO position here at Royse City ISD.

Superintendent Worthy said, "David's knowledge in Texas School District resources include Texas Education Agency's Financial Accountability System Resource Guide (FASRG) and Texas Education Agency's Financial Integrity and Rating System of Texas (FIRST). Having worked as both a school auditor and a district chief financial officer gave David an edge over our other applicants."

A graduate of Texas A&M Commerce, David earned his Bachelor & Master degrees in Professional Accountancy and Business Administration and is a certified public accountant.

Royse City ISD is pleased to welcome David Carter as our new Chief Financial Officer.
